Father Hahn Interview Information and Links

I'd like to take a minute to thank my brother in real life, brother in Christ, mentor, hero, and inspiration, Father William P. Hahn, Director of Vocations for the Diocese of Columbus for joining me on Sunday.  We spent a quick but fun hour together talking about vocations, discernment, books, and more.

Many of you have reached out to me for more information about our video so I'm posting this blog to compile all of that information in one space.  If I'm missing anything please let me know.

If you missed the video broadcast on Facebook, you can still watch it here.

Forming Intentional Disciples: The Path to Knowing and Following Jesus by Sherry Weddell was one of the first books that Father mentioned.  I have personally read this book many years ago and found it to be a great book for both personal and parish formation.

One of the questions in the comments mentioned a retreat house.  This retreat house is located in the
Hocking Hills and is a Catholic Apostolate to help families detach from the technology saturated world and grow in love with the Lord and each other.  You can learn more about the house and plan your family retreat here.

When asked about a book for a self-led vocational discernment Father Hahn mentioned this book as a way to possibly begin the process - Unrepeatable: Cultivating the Unique Calling of Every Person.

Other books mentioned by Father Hahn for your reference:

  1. From Christendom to Apostolic Mission: Pastoral Strategies for an Apostolic Age
  2. A Church in Crisis: Pathways Forward
Discernment Opportunities for boys and men:
  1. Wilderness Outreach (Father/Son Retreats)
  2. Quo Vadis Retreats (High School Retreats)
  3. Melchizedek Project (Monthly Discernment Retreats)
  4. Pontifical College Josephium (Live-in/Come and See Retreats)

Let's start a conversation about insuring your love!
